“Bingo Song”  Teaching idea and activities

As the text is based on the spelling of BINGO, every next stanza is missing a letter replaced by a rest, so at the end there are five letters for five rests:

Rests

Five children with five different percussion instruments or other sounds (hands, feet, fingers, or objects like a table, a chair, etc.) make a sound that replaces the letter.

They start with one sound as they sing four letters, then two sounds as they sing three letters, and gradually they play five sounds at the corresponding letter.

You can do a similar activity for the song “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”.
