Carol, England (U.K.)

“We wish you a Merry Christmas” is a 16th-century English folk song and Christmas carol from the West Country of England.

According to an old English tradition richer people in several communities treated the carolers with figgy puddings on Christmas Eve.

This is quite often the last carol sung on Christmas Eve, because it mentions the coming of the New Year, so carolers wish the best for all the celebrations during this Season’s Holidays.
