Carol, Puerto Rico.
“En el Portal a Belén” is a carol that describes the Bethlehem manger and encourages pastors to adore the newborn. The representation of the Christmas cribs is a tradition in many families and, usually, they allocate a special place at home to set up the Nativity Scene.
The tradition of the Nativity Scene installation goes back to the 13th century, when a Christmas Eve Saint Francis of Assisi gathered the neighbors of an Italian city in a hermitage to celebrate the midnight mass.
