This a Christmas carol from Spain, which is also very popular in Latin America.
Its title means “Fish in the river” and it refers to Virgin Mary instead of narrating typical stories about Jesus’ birth. In contrast to other carols, this doesn’t make reference to Jesus, the birth or the joy, but it rather transmits a feeling of peace and tranquility, as it talks about Mother Mary doing everyday things and chores.
