14 Hand Clapping Songs and Games for That Short Daily Break

Often comes a time when you have no other strength to chase the ball or the dog with your children. On the other hand, you have promised them you would spend the afternoon playing together.

Do not stress, there is a middle ground for everything: take a break playing a “game” that seems easy but at the same time quite demanding. Observation, memorizing movements and lyrics, as well as coordinating lyrics and movements, are skills necessary for clapping games.

These games are a challenge for all ages, whether it is for toddlers / kindergarten ages or older children. Even for an adult they’re not always as easy as they seem.

The following collection includes a series of clapping songs & games with videos and lyrics. Take a look and choose modestly – they seem easy, but experience tells us that the younger ones usually do better. So make sure you practice enough before playing with them!
