Do Re Mi (The Sound of Music) – How to Play on the Glockenspiel / Xylophone

By Richard Rodgers

“Do Re Mi” is one of the most popular songs of the musical The Sound of Music (1959) by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.

In the plot, Maria, played by Julie Andrews. sings some songs to the kids on the guitar and teaches them the notes of the major scale. Every syllable of the solfège corresponds to an English word that sounds the same (homophone), which is sung at that specific pitch.
